CURCHOREM: Power Minister Nilesh Cabral has said that the State Assembly would not be dissolved and instead by-election will be held in all three constituencies as per law.
Speaking to Herald, he said that there is no question of dissolution and by-election would be held in Shiroda, Mandrem and Mapusa constituencies and whichever party gets the majority will form the government.
When asked if the BJP is prepared to go for elections in the event of general election in the State, Cabral said, “We will cross the bridge when it comes.”
Shiroda and Mandrem constituencies fell vacant after Subash Shirodkar and Dayanand Sopte resigned; the MGP, an ally of ruling BJP has announced its decision to contest the upcoming by-election from Shiroda.
