No funds released to State for FY 2020-21, 2021-22: MoRTH

PANJIM: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) released data about the allocation and utilisation of funds for State government and Union Territories (UTs).

This was specifically about the development and maintenance of State roads under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and Economic Importance and Interstate Connectivity (EI&ISC) schemes.

In the first list, it was revealed that the unspent balance of funds released under CRIF since 2018-19 to the State of Goa is Rs 33.91 crore. 

That same list revealed that accrual of funds to Goa in that period was Rs 58.91 crore under the CRIF scheme while the amount released was Rs 24.76 crore. No amount was released for the financial years of 2020-21 and 2021-22. 

In the second list, under the EI&ISC scheme, Rs 63.5 crore was allocated to the State of Goa from 2018-19. Out of this the expenditure incurred by the State of Goa is Rs 48.27 crore. Rs 0 is the expenditure as reported for the ongoing financial year of 2021-22.
