PANJIM: The Electricity Department has not proposed any hike in power tariffs for the financial year 2022-2023 as per the petition filed before the Joint Electricity Regulatory Authority (JERC).
The petition has been field for Annual Performance Review (APR) for the financial year 2021-2022 as per the MYT Tariff Regulations 2018 and Aggregate Revenue Requirement for 2022-2023, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 and Tariff Determination for fiscal year 2022-23.
The department has also sought approval for the total recovery and revenue gap for Annual Performance Review for 2021-2022 and ARR and Tariff for 2022-2023 and other claims as proposed. It has also prayed for approval of the revenue gap for 2021-2022 of Rs 164.87 crore as per APR and standalone revenue gap considering revenue from proposed tariff amounting to Rs 360.13 crore for 2022-2023 on provisional basis and the revenue gap as may be approved by the Commission during the process of finalising tariff petition.
The department stated that the proposed revenue gap of Rs 360.13 crore would be met from the budgetary support by the State government.
