Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik’s comprehensive speech had no mention of two crucial issues Mining and Mhadei water dispute, which currently are being widely debate across forums in the State. In what could have disappointed many, Malik’s address touched upon various issues as he also listed out initiatives of the government in different sectors and awards it has been conferred with in tourism, education, health, etc. However, in his speech, the Governor was silent on the two issues despite during the last couple of occasions he had assured to mediate with the Centre on mining resumption and Mhadei resolution in Goa’s favour.
