MARGAO: The Chairman of the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) Ulhas Tuenkar has emphasised that there are no pending issues with salary payments of KTC staff or drivers.
While addressing media persons on Wednesday, the chairman also said there are no issues of misappropriation of KTC funds as had been alleged recently.
Tuenkar, who is the Navelim BJP MLA said Aam Adadmi Party’s (AAP) Navelim candidate Pratima Coutinho should do a proper inquiry before making false allegations that unfairly tarnish the reputation of the corporation.
He explained that the staff and drivers had received a notice that their salaries would be sent two days late and that this decision was taken before he took over the Corporation as the chairman.
He added that the salaries were recently paid and there is no such issue as had been alleged by Coutinho.
