PANJIM: Criticising the statement made by Congress leader Ramakant Khalap, Goa Forward president Vijai Sardesai on Thursday said there would be no political earthquake in Goa but cautioned the Congress leader to mind his own side.
Speaking to reporters on statements made by Khalap, Sardesai said, “There will be no political earthquake. All of us are sitting here proving there is no political earthquake here; maybe, it could be possible on his side.”
Sardesai further reiterated that the coalition government is very stable. “This is a very stable government and Khalap or Congress should not expect anything here. We are all together here means we are united,” he said.
The Congress on Wednesday said that a ‘political earthquake’ was on cards in Goa due to the ‘absolute lack of governance’, while also urging that ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to emulate Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and hand over charge to a colleague in the wake of his illness.
