PANJIM: In a marathon ‘live’ announcement via their social media platforms on Monday, Revolutionary Goans (RG) announced that they are launching their political party and will be fielding candidates in all 40 constituencies.
After their PowerPoint presentation which covered a host of issues RG chief Manoj Parab responded to queries from media persons, where he categorically stated that the party will have no truck with any political party or independent candidate pre or post the elections.
“Whoever wants to support RG should become a member of our party now before the elections. Once the election (date) is declared, we will not extend support or take any support from any party or independent (candidates),” said Parab while naming the various political outfits in the State.
Parab was asked what RG would do in the event, there is no majority post the elections, and other parties would seek their support to form the government.
The youth leader also expressed confidence that RG would definitely win by a majority.
On the main agenda of the party, RG said they wanted to enact laws like the POGO Bill that will safeguard the interest of native Goans and protect the existence of Goans in Goa. He had earlier hit out at political parties for using ‘illegal’ vote banks to further their interest while failing to come out for policy to help the locals.
Speaking to Herald, Parab said they had not decided on their CM candidate as yet and that the party would choose their candidates from within their party base.
