No-trust against Colva sarpanch

The coastal village of Colva seems to be hit by winds of instability with five members of the panchayat tabling a no-confidence motion against the Sarpanch Angela Borges.
The signatories to the motion include former Sarpanch Suzie Fernandes, Jose Camilo Silva, Jose Fernandes, Magdalene Goes and Calvert Gonsalves.
The signatories have charged the sarpanch for not taking the members into confidence and her failure to carry out developmental work. They have further said that the sarpanch have not ensure the safety of the panchayat members.
Sarpanch Angela Borges had taken over the reigns of office over a year ago, succeeding Suzie who had quit office due to personal reasons. She is a strong supporter of former Tourism Minister Mickky Pacheco and owes her allegiance to the Pacheco camp.
When contacted, Salcete BDO Uday Prabhudessai confirmed that his office has received the no trust motion.
