CANACONA: Five panchas of Loilem-Polem panchayat on Friday moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Bhushan Prabhugaonkar for supporting IIT without consulting the panchayat body.
The panchas also said that the sarpanch has moved without the approval of the panchas and has also bypassed the gram sabha to raise the IIT issue.
The signatories to the motion are Shailesh Pagui, Santan D’Costa, Rajesh Naik, Shilpa Deikar and Caitania Dias.
