MAPUSA: No Confidence Motion has been moved against the Sarpanch and Deputy of Salvador do Mundo Village Panchayat.
Five out of nine panchas in a letter to the Bardez Block Development Officer stated that Sarpanch Sandeep Salgaonkar was not taking the panchayat members into confidence while taking decision regarding the development works and other activities of the panchayat, was not discharging his duties properly and failed in taking action against the illegal constructions taking place in the panchayat jurisdiction.
“Deputy Sarpanch Reena Fernandes was also not taking the panch members into confidence with regards to development and other activities and failed to perform her duties,” the letter stated.
The letter is signed by panchas Antonio Fernandes, Roshni Sawaikar, Bhagwant Naik, Vijay Chodankar and Suvarnlata Parsekar.
