PANJIM: Four panchayat members have tabled a non-confidence notice against Siridao-Pale Sarpanch Jagdish Gawas.
The no-confidence notice has been signed by panchayat members Vasudev Kunkolienkar, Camilo Marques, Antonio Afonso and Melanie Flory De Souza.
In the notice submitted to the Tiswadi Block Development Officer (BDO), the four signatories have accused the sarpanch of misappropriating panchayat funds, not taking panchayat members into confidence, abuse of power and encouraging illegal constructions in the village.
They have requested the Tiswadi BDO to convene the special meeting of the panchayat to discuss the no-confidence notice.
