MAPUSA: Five members of the Verla-Canca Village Panchayat moved a No-Confidence Motion against Sarpanch Dipali Laxmikant Bicholkar.
In a letter addressed to the Block Development Officer, five panchas alleged that the sarpanch failed to take them into confidence on development works in the village and charged that Bicholkar was encouraging illegal constructions.
Panchas Aarti Pavan Chari, Vasudev Laxman Korgaonkar, Mohan Vithal Dabhale, Digambar Uttam Kalangutkar and Ashok Ladu Arlekar were signatories to the letter of no confidence tabled against the sarpanch.
