Margao: The Chief Officer of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Margao Agnelo Fernandes on Tuesday has assured the general public under MMC jurisdiction that the Administration is streamlining all the works of the MMC to make sure no public suffers due to the absence of staff posted on election duties.
Agnelo informed that 15 of the MMC staff that include LDC/UDC/Municipal Inspectors and employees are deputed for election duties. Besides, he said that BLOs and drivers are regularly called for throughout the year duty in the Collectorate office. 8 BLOs are called every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Collectorate/Mamlatdar Office.
“No work of the public will be allowed to be affected due to the absence of the staff. We have made sure that the public is not made to go back” Agnelo said.
