MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary Urfan Mulla has welcomed the decision of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to permit Qurbani at the Ponda meat complex.
Mulla, however, said that the government should have put in place additional arrangements for slaughtering of animals in big towns such as Margao, Panjim and Vasco.
Replying to a question, Mulla hoped the government would make proper arrangement for the slaughter of bulls and import of bulls from across the border without any problem. “We hope that there would be adequate arrangement for doctors and police near the meat complex along with deputy Collector and mamlatdars for smooth functioning”, Mulla said.
