Nodal officer to look into ongoing road works in Panjim

PANJIM: PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral on Monday said that the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has appointed department’s executive engineer as the nodal officer to look into the ongoing road works in the capital city in view of the ensuing G20 Summit scheduled in April this year.

“We have asked the nodal officer to keep a record of minutes that roads in the Panjim city will be repaired ahead of G20 Summit and after the event that roads could be dug up again to complete the pending works under the Smart City Mission and that the DLP (defects liability period) will not be applicable for these works,” Cabral said. 

Cabral said that the entire roads in the city are maintained by the PWD while, the some roads are now likely to be concretised under Smart City Mission.
