PANJIM: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Goa and Government of India have invited nominations for the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award.
This Award is awarded in recognition of achievements of persons associated in the field of adventure. Ordinarily one award each is conferred for adventure activities on land, sea and in Air. In addition, a provision has also been made for conferring one award for “Life Time Achievement”.
The scheme containing rules and regulations along with applications in the prescribed forms may be peruse with Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs by persons aspiring for the said award.
Interested candidates having exceptional achievement in the field of Adventure during the year 2020 besides those during the preceding two years may submit their bio-data along with a brief write-up in the prescribed pro forma listing out achievements recorded by them during the last three years including those recorded up to December 31, 2020 for consideration. Disabled persons having outstanding achievement may also apply.
The details of the achievements may be sent in two to three pages only in either Hindi or English. Voluminous information i.e Paper cuttings, books etc. need not be enclosed. Interested candidates may forward (here online application through the portal (https://dbtyasyouth.gov.in) latest by July 5.
The relevant rules and regulations along with the specimen of the application form have been uploaded on the official website of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs www.dsya.goa.gov.in.
