PANJIM: Expressing their displeasure over the functioning of North Goa Zilla Panchayat (ZP) adhyaksh Siddhesh Naik, as many as 15 ZP members have urged him to convene the meeting to discuss developmental works and other issues.
In a letter to the adhyaksh, the 15 ZP members have stated that the last North Goa ZP meeting was held in September this year, and that for the last two months, no meeting has been convened.
According to one of the ZP members, since Naik was elected adhyaksh in May last year, only five meetings have been held. He said that the members have been demanding regular meetings since the people had reposed their faith in the BJP by elections 19 members out of 25 seats.
The ZP member further clarified that the question of tabling no-confidence notice against Naik does not arise as they all belong to the ruling party.
