PANJIM: Goa College of Arts former professor and renowned film director Rajiv Shinde passed away on Wednesday.
Shinde directed Marathi dramas like “Gela Madhav Kunikade” and “Thodasa Logic Thodasa Magic”. He won the best director and best script writer awards for his drama “Thodasa Logic Thodasa Magic”.
Shinde also directed Konkani films “Dekhni Durai” and “K Sera Sera”. “Dekhni Durai” which was his first Konkani first feature film that won the national award for the best direction.
Kala Academy chairman Govind Gaude has condoled the death of Shinde.
In his condolence message, Gaude said that Shinde was the Professor in Fine Arts at Goa College of Arts, Altinho, a theatre personality, a film director, member of general council as well as executive board member of Kala Academy. He was also a visiting faculty of school of drama as well as professional theatre director.
