Notice on GSPCB over golf course

PANJIM: Goa Foundation and tenants of the property on which the proposed golf course is set to come up at Tiracol have sent a legal notice to the Goa State Pollution Control Board asking how it gave consent to establish a golf course on tenanted property. Tenanted property cannot be used for any other purpose other than agriculture.

Tenanted property cannot be used for any other purpose other than agriculture.
“Yes we have sent a legal notice along with the tenants to the board asking how they could give the consent to leading hotels,” Dr Claude Alvares of Goa Foundation told media.
According to the tenants more than half the land given for a golf course at Tiracol is tenanted.
