PANJIM: Department of Commercial Taxes on Monday stated that it has issued a show cause notice to the organisers of Timeout 72 EDM festival over the latter’s failure to pay the State government’s share of GST.
The department, through the show-cause notice, has given the organisers seven days to pay the State govt’s share of GST. Commercial Taxes Commissioner Dipak Bandekar said, “We have already issued the show-cause notice to organisers of Timeout 72 EDM festival over its failure to pay the State government’s share of GST. We have given them 7 days to respond failing which Department of Commercial Taxes will issue summons and again if they fail the matter will be handed over to the police.”
