The novena of Goa’s first homegrown saint –St Joseph Vaz, Patron of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, began at the old Church of Our Lady of Health, Sancoale, on January 7. The novenas will go on till January 16 and the feast will be celebrated on January 16. Herald TV will telecast the novenas and the feast day mass at 6 pm daily.
This year’s theme for the novena and feast of St Jose Vaz is “Let us truly follow Jesus after the example of St Joseph Vaz”. The Novena masses on January 7 onwards will be from 6 am, 7.30 am, 9.15 am and in the Evening: at 4 pm and the English mass will be at 6 pm. On Sundays Jan 8, 2023, & Jan 15, 2023, the masses will be as follows Morning: 5 am, 6.15 am, 7.15, 9.15 am and Evening at 4 pm and 6 pm (English). Two additional masses will be celebrated on January 8 (Sunday) in Malayalam at 10.45 a.m. and in Tamil at 12 noon, and a mass on January 15 (Sunday) in Hindi at 10.45 a.m., also an additional mass.
