PANJIM: Commissioner for NRI Affairs Narendra Sawaikar has hailed the decision of United Kingdom to allow fully vaccinated travellers enter the country without serving quarantine period.
In a video message, the Commissioner stated that the move will help several Indians travelling to UK for the purpose of education, employment, etc.
“It is a welcome decision by the UK administration to discontinue with quarantine for Indians who are fully vaccinated with Covishield. At the same time I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his approach and proactive steps to convince the UK government to ensure fully vaccinated Indians seamlessly travel to UK. The counterpart country’s decision will definitely help everyone including students and others to enter the country without quarantine,” he said.
