PANJIM: The State unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Friday threatened to gherao Goa University vice chancellor if the university fails to declare the examination results by this week.
NSUI State President Naushad Chowdhury said that the university on Friday failed to declare the results of Under Graduate Semester V examination for the second time after it had earlier postponed the results on April 28.
Chowdhury said that the Goa University by a circular dated May 6 had modified the dates and had stated that the results of Semester V examination will be declared on May 20 while Semester VI examination results on August 16 and that the summer vacation would commence from July 2.
It was also clarified that the inclusion of 80 per cent of the syllabus for the examination will be applicable only to Under Graduate programmes while for Post Graduate programmes, the entire syllabus (100 per cent) would be included for the examination.
