MARGAO: The feast of the patroness of Our Lady of Piety Chapel, Monte-Margao was celebrated on Sunday.
Fr Kenneth Teles was the main celebrant at the feast Mass while Fr Simao R Diniz was the concelebrant.
In his homily, Fr Kenneth stressed on Mother Mary’s missionary work, her sufferings especially during the death of Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.
He said, “Like Mother Mary we have to bear the pain and suffering for the sake of the Lord’s sorrowful passion and let Jesus have mercy on the whole world.”
He also called upon the faithful to proclaim the Gospel with faith, love and follow the teachings of Lord Jesus and become a lighthouse of faith.
Zinnia Mascarenhas and family from Margao celebrated the feast.
