OBC body urges to implement order on NEET PG, UG reservations

PONDA: Rashtriya OBC Mahasangh Goa State President Madu Naik addressing to media along with OBC members welcomed the verdict of Supreme Court of India which upheld the validity of Other Backward Class (OBC) reservation in NEET PG and UG. The verdict was held on January 7.

“In the past few years OBC students were deprived of reservation for PG courses at GMC. In Goa 49 post exists for PG out of which 27 per cent will be reserved for OBC. The government had already implanted the same in 2020 and the same should be implemented this year too”, he said.

Naik also demanded that the Government of India conduct census of OBC population and give them political reservation. 

They also requested the elected representatives of OBCs to demand political census for Goa so that they can retain reservation in the forthcoming Assembly election.
