“In my personal opinion, we have to contest all the local body elections. This will encourage new ‘karyakartas’ (workers) within the party… It has also been observed that small elections go on personal relations with the people and we can gain from it. It helps to make party’s foundation strong,” he said on Sunday. He went on to add that the people of Goa now need a change in governance for which, NCP is ready. “The Goan citizens have experienced the rule of all the party… Today, they believe NCP will fulfill all their wishes and desires,” he said adding his comment is based on interactions with various sections of the society in the State.
Observer says local elections opportunity to grow party
PANJIM: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) observer for Goa Bhaskarrao Jadhav has opined that elections to local bodies are an opportunity to grow the party in a state while asserting alike Congress, his party too had decided not to contest the recently held Zilla Panchayat polls on party lines.
