Odisha Scooter Rider Dies After Arpora Accident; Margao Man Booked

A 33-year-old scooter rider from Odisha who was seriously injured in a road accident at Arpora on May 10 has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital on May 19.

According to Anjuna Police Station, a case has been registered against Kedar Dias (36), a resident of Margao, for alleged rash and negligent driving.

Police stated that the accident occurred near Boutique Hotel in Arpora when Dias was reportedly negotiating a curve and his car allegedly moved towards the centre/right side of the road, leading to a collision with the scooter rider.

The injured victim was admitted to GMC Bambolim for treatment but later died due to his injuries.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
