PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee delegation led by its president Pratima Coutinho met DGP Muktesh Chandar seeking his intervention to file FIR against unknown person for offensive message against party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on social media.
Coutinho alleged involvement of BJP’s IT Cell was behind this “systematic campaign to smear image of Priyankaji.”
“There is a hatred campaign going on by BJP guys who are employed in the IT cell. They are paid to do a hatred campaign. They have crossed all limits. They have outraged modesty of women,” she alleged.
The wing has demanded filing of FIR alleging that this is to diminish credibility of Priyanka. “They are circulated with intention to malign her image. The offence should be under IPC and Information Technology Act,” Coutinho said.
