PANJIM: In view of spike in COVID-19 cases, the State Directorate of Education has suspended all offline classes of institutions under its jurisdiction till April 30.

However, teaching and non-teaching staff have been asked to continue to attend the school following COVID-19 specific SOPs.
“Due to spike of pandemic-COVID-19, all offline/physical classes of the institutions coming under the jurisdiction of the Directorate shall remain closed till April 30, 2021. However, the teaching and non teaching staff shall continue to attend the school as before while strictly obeying relevant COVID appropriate behaviour as in force,” stated a circular issued by Director of Education D R Bhagat.
The government on Wednesday announced the postponement of the upcoming Class X and XII examinations of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, due to rapid rise in COVID cases. The exams will be announced 15 days prior to the date of commencement.
