PANJIM: After a high-octane chase, the Old Goa police successfully apprehended a man wanted by the Kolkata police in connection with a major cheating case. SI Sirshendo Kundo from Golabari police station, Howrah, had arrived at the Old Goa police station with information about the wanted man.
After informing the Deputy Superintendent and Superintendent of Police, North Goa, the Old Goa PSI formed three teams for search and backup. An intense search was carried out for two days across Carambolim, Divar, Old Goa and Corlim. Accused Greville Eric Henry Vaz, 37, from Mira Road, Thane, was handed over to the Howrah police.
