PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant urged the locals to participate in the vaccination programmes on National Vaccination Day.
“The #NationalVaccinationDay spreads awareness about the importance of vaccination and improvement of health and well being. I urge greater engagement of the citizens of Goa around immunisation of #COVID19 vaccine to protect and safeguard people of all age groups against the disease,” the CM tweeted, on Tuesday.
It may be recalled recently at a public event, Sawant acknowledged that the number of Goans taking the vaccine is low and urged elected representatives like sarpanchas, panchas, etc, to take responsibility of getting more people to participate in the mega vaccination camps underway across the State.
He had asked panchayats to mobilise 100 people a day for such camps while also asking that the people should consult with their respective doctors first.
