MARGAO: Rahul Matker of Ponda on Tuesday applied for an anticipatory bail before the District and Sessions Court Margao in connection with the case of gutka and tobacco product seized by Konkan Railway Police.
The court heard the arguments and fixed the matter for orders on Wednesday. The Konkan Railway Police investigating the case have opposed Matker’s bail application stating that the police require the person to interrogate and to find out remaining alleged accused in the case.
Konkan Railway Police Station Police Inspector Hiru Kavleker, who is supervising the investigation said, “We want some more persons to be interrogated in this case as more suspects are involved in the offence.”
