MARGAO: The Colva police arrested person for his involvement in the fights and the torching of vehicles at Colva.
Rumaldino Fernandes, 30, a resident of Benaulim, was arrested for his involvement in the rioting and torching of at least 4 two-wheelers at Colva. The accused person has been booked under the Sections 143, 147, 235 read with Section 149 of IPC for the offences.
Colva Police had booked two cases of rioting and one case of molestation against 12 persons hailing from Benaulim and Colva following a fight between the two groups that originated at the Benaulim floats and ended at Colva on the night of Feb 13.
