MARGAO: Peter Mories, a local of Utorda was assaulted with a chopper on his head causing grievous injuries at a fast food joint, at Utorda, on Tuesday.

“He is undergoing medical treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim,” Verna police stated.
According to Verna Police Station Police Inspector Prashal Dessai, the accused person Bharat Singh Bisht (38), residing at Prakash Building, Seraulim and native of Uttarakhand, has been arrested in an attempt to murder case.
Police said, “An offence under Section 307 of IPC has also been registered against Bisht.”
