VALPOI: A 26-year-old resident of Khotode-Sattari was crushed to death by an unidentified vehicle at Redeghat-Valpoi on Monday evening.
According to Valpoi Police, the accident occurred at about 6.10 pm, when Bhingo Gholkar was on his way home from work in Harvalem-Sanquelim.
Police said an unidentified vehicle dashed his motorcycle from behind, as tyre marks were visible on the road near the accident site. The tyre marks are also visible on Gholkar’s body.
Police further informed that the deceased’s head was badly crushed in the mishap.
Valpoi Police conducted the panchanama and sent the body at GMC Hospital in Bambolim for post-mortem. A case has been registered against unknown person under Sections 279, 134(a,b) and 304 IPC. Police is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Sanjay Dalvi.
