PONDA: Late Saturday night the wall of a house collapsed resulting in the death of Madan Bhandari (22), resident of Karwar, who was trapped under the debris, while another labourer Mahesh Kumbar (25) from Belgavi was grievously injured and has been shifted to GMC. The incident occurred at Shapur-Ponda as the foundation of the wall of a house gave away while both labourers were proceeding towards their rented room. Ponda fire services personnel and locals removed the debris.
