MARGAO: Mahesh Kakodker, 42-year-old resident of Quepem, who had gone fishing drowned in a river at Assolna.
According to information available from Cuncolim Police Station, Kakodker while fishing got pulled away by the current during the high tide and drowned. Police said that he was missing since Sunday. However, his body was seen floating in the Assolna River on Monday.
Cuncolim Police along with Fire Services personnel carried out the operation to retrieve the body.
