VALPOI: Shubham Patil, a 23-year-old resident of Bicholim was feared drowned in the river at Bhironda, Sattari.
According to Valpoi Police Inspector Shivram Vaingankar, Shubham along with four others came for picnic at the spot.
Along with other locals, the group ventured into the river for a swim. After some time when they came out of the water they found Shubham missing. The locals alerted the police and fire personnel and the rescue team was called in.
Fire personnel continued the search for the missing boy till late evening on Sunday.
