Panjim: A tragic incident marred the Ganesh Visarjan
ceremony in Merces as one individual drowned in the river.
The distressing event unfolded during the one-and-a-half-day
immersion ritual of Lord Ganpati. Regrettably, at present, the victim’s body
remains undiscovered, intensifying the sorrow surrounding the incident.
To aid in the search and recovery mission, firefighters have
been swiftly dispatched to the site, offering hope to the grieving family and
community that closure can soon be found amidst this heartbreaking occurrence.
