CANACONA: The picnic to Galgibaga Beach turned tragic for five Corlim residents as one of their colleague drowned while bathing in the sea at beach at dusk on Wednesday.
Sources informed Herald that a group of five friends from Corlim, Old Goa had come on a picnic at Galgibaga Beach and Jason Gomes ventured into the waters off the Galgibaga and allegedly got caught in the underwater currents and drowned.
The unfortunate incident happened at 7 in the evening.
