CANACONA: A 46-year-old man Savan Pagi from Agonda on Monday was feared drowned at Saleri.
The family members had filed a missing report at Canacona Police Station on Monday after he didn’t return since Sunday afternoon after he had gone to catch fish in the river.
The police informed that the family members of Pagi, working as an instructor at an institute imparting technical education in Canacona, had filed a missing report at the police station on Monday morning. Sources said he was last seen casting his net at the mouth of Saleri River in Agonda on Sunday afternoon.
As he didn’t return home the family members filed a missing report on Monday morning sources informed.
After receiving the information, the police immediately sent a team to the spot where he was last seen. Search operations lasted till sunset and will continue on Tuesday, sources informed.
