VALPOI: One person named Shantaram Gopal Sawant, aged 49, was found dead at Dhangar Wada, Ghoteli Two, Keri-Sattari, on Monday.
According to his family, he left the house on Monday morning at around 6.30 am and did not return home in the afternoon.
In the evening, some villagers saw the body lying in the field and informed his family members.
Later, Valpoi Police Station was informed about the death.
The police conducted the panchanama and sent the body to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for post mortem.
Further investigation is going on.
