TIVIM: Anjuna Police on Thursday arrested a man accused of abduction and stabbing a 38-year-old resident of Mandrem.
It may be recalled that Manoj Kedar from Mandrem was allegedly kidnapped and stabbed and thrown at garbage site at Assagao.
According to Anjuna PI Paresh Naik, a complaint was lodged stating that Kedar was kidnapped, tied, stabbed and thrown at the Assagao garbage site.
Police said they arrested Rupesh Mhamal in connection with the case. A case had been registered under IPC 143, 147, 328, 342, 365, r/w 149.
According to police sources, Kedar’s wife had lodged a missing complaint about her husband who went missing on December 18. Five persons were involved in the crime. Police is investigating the case.
