MARGAO: The Margao Municipal Council has filed a police complaint against a person from Navelim for having assaulted its staff. The accused was arrested and released on bail.
On Wednesday the Margao Municipal Council staff who was on duty noticed one resident of Coldem, Telaulim, Navelim dumping garbage on an open place. The staff when attempted to take video/photo of the said person, the accused allegedly got furious and assaulted the Margao Municipal Council staff.
The Margao Municipal Council staff has said that the incident happened near Dada Crane in MMC jurisdiction.
The Margao town police on receipt of the complaint registered the same under Section 353 and 332 of IPC and arrested the accused only to release him on bail later.
