VASCO: Vasco Police arrested one youth from Headland Sada in connection with the gold chain snatching from an old woman, at Tilak Maidan, here, on Friday.
The accused was held with the help of CCTV footage and due to strict vigil of the police and gold chain was recovered.
Sources from the Vasco Police Station informed that an old lady from Vasco had registered a complaint with them about one unknown person on brown Activa bike near Tilak Maidan snatching her gold chain of 22 grammes, which costs around Rs 80,000 and fled from the spot.
Vasco police with the help of CCTV footage and vigil collected information about the suspect and later arrested him.
He was later identified as Prashant Madar, resident of Headland Sada, GRB Colony.
The gold chain has been recovered. Further investigation is going on.
