MARGAO: The Fatorda Police on Tuesday arrested the burglar who broke in and robbed the donation box of Cidas Almas Chapel in the old market, here.
The locals, who frequented the chapel, informed that the burglar had forced open the main door and laid his hands on the donation box. The police have successfully recovered the stolen amount of Rs 2,700 in cash and arrested accused Amjad Khan, a 35-year-old labourer, native of Shiggaon, Maharashtra. The robbery was committed on Monday night.
