PERNEM: Pernem Police on Tuesday arrested a 29-year-old Gauresh Dharma Shetgaonkar from Kasolewadda, Morjim in a kidnapping case of a minor girl.
According to the police,
a minor girl from Morjim was abducted by the alleged accused Shetgaonkar on June 14. After the minor girl’s mother lodged a written complaint at the Pernem Police Station on June 15, the police immediately arrested Shetgaonkar on the same day, near a restaurant, Morjim.
The police have booked the alleged accused under Section 366 of Indian Penal Code and Children Act for kidnapping a minor girl. The victim was later sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for medical examination. PSI Sanjit Kanolkar is further investigating the case.
