MAPUSA: Anjuna Police on Tuesday arrested one Necellis Nornoha, aged 32 years, resident of Siolim, for allegedly posting vulgar comments against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on social media, and hurting religious sentiments.
According to the police, Premanand Arolkar, president of Samarthan Sanghatana, Siolim had lodged a complaint against the alleged accused for allegedly posting vulgar comments against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Facebook and hurting religious sentiments.
Acting on the complaint, the police arrested the accused person under Section 295(A) of Indian Penal Code. The accused was further produced before the JMFC court where the court remanded to him two day police custody.
