OLD GOA: Old Goa Police arrested a man from Umta Waddo, Calangute, on charges of raping a 21-year-old woman, after promising to marry her.
According to Old Goa Police, the victim complained that the incident occurred on November 16, 2012, at an old, abandoned house at Chimbel-Merces.
The victim further stated that the accused Felix induced her to marry him even though he was married and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her and further threatened her.
Acting on the complaint, Old Goa Police arrested the accused under Sections 376, 506 IPC.
PSI Sagun Sawant is investigating the case.
