VALPOI: The Valpoi police arrested Usman Khan on Friday evening for the “illegal” slaughter of 19 cows near a cashew factory in Valpoi town.
Meanwhile, the Bicholim deputy collector held a meeting with the members of Govansh Suraksha Abhiyan on Friday morning and assured them that the illegal cow slaughtering in Valpoi would be seriously investigated.
The Govansh Suraksha Abhiyan had exposed the illegal cow slaughtering in Valpoi town on Thursday. Later, it filed a complaint at the Valpoi police station.
